Okay so I was talking to Arbie tonight and she mentioned that some folks in the guild really enjoy D&D and table top gaming in general. That makes me so happy!! Giant D&D fanatic here! Anyway, she mentioned some folks were talking about ways to game over the computer possibly using Skype or whatnot. There is a really cool website called Roll20. It is free and used by tons of folks. I have used it to make maps and such, but have never had the chance to play a game on it. roll20.netThe site has a built in chat, but most people use Skype or even google plus so they can see or hear one another. The DM can control the whole game...maps, miniatures, notes etc. And character sheets can be saved directly to your campaign! Also it has a really good dice rolling application built in. I know Arbie has expressed and interest in trying table-top. I also now know that Aued is a 1st edition Veteran like myself! If this is something some other guild folks want to do, we should totally look into it!! In the meantime....the famous two part Dead Alewives D&D audio skit!

I'm so glad you posted this because I had no idea what to search for in Google! I know Rion (Qulthan in game) is interested in taking part as well. So is Dark, however I don't think Dark can get access to a computer at the moment. I wonder if there will be a way around that, maybe someone controlling Dark's rolls for him? We could talk through Xbox Party that way people without access to a computer could still be involved. "I'm getting drunk! Are there any girls there?" Hahaha! "Am I at the tavern yeeettt?!" I want to be that guy! I read in the YouTube comments that these were written by Dan Harmon, creator of Community. Is that true?! I love the Community D&D episode! I want the pet ladies. But honestly, when the kid cries, heart broken.

Yup Dan Harmon wrote the skits. He got into the Dead Alewives and certainly left his mark. Yes! The D&D Community episode was awesome. I must have watched it like 5 times I think.

Awesome! I'm in! Although as we discussed, it's a mystery as to how! If I'm right I think Brandolin, Darkenmyre, and Rion are also interested.

Sweet deal Aued. What time and day are you thinking of? I can get started on a character and I'll find the campaign. Really weird about the violations though.

Sorry, I'm completely new to this. What do we need to do to get started on a character? I'll read the FAQ on the website but any tips would be great!

Hey Arbie, I'm assuming that we'd probably do the bulk of the character creation together with everyone. But if you'd like to read the 5th edition D&D rules there is a free set of basic rules for download here. dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/basicrules

Ok Aued, I added myself to the campaign. My profile name is John on Roll20. That is my actual name too. lol. So I guess feel free to call me John if you guys want since I generally only use Brandolin for Neverwinter.
